Dandenong, Victoria
The project is a multi-level industrial building that houses multiple pieces of Cogent plant for the distribution of power and thermal energy around this Dandenong precinct.
The Project Energy Precinct was a design and construct project, that uses natural gas-powered engines to generate electricity on-site, for export to other buildings in the area.
The waste heat from the engine is captured to provide heating to the mechanical services system of other buildings within the precinct.
The works included the design & installation of footings, structure, substructure, perforated aluminium sheeting, mechanical system, fire services, electrical services, hydraulic services, acoustic treatment, tanking, computer flooring and earth bonding.
The building’s quirky exterior design includes a LED lighting and message board and huge “power point” giving it a modern art feel which defies it’s industrial interior.
